He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Treva Dietkus (Ewing) and Edward Andrew Dietkus; his half-brother Milton Lee "Buddy" Brown; and his grandmother Mary Ewing (Stafford Taylor). He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Ruth Dietkus (Schuman); his children, Edward Joseph Dietkus of Urbana, Jasmyne Elizabeth Morgan of St. Louis, Rachael Erin Dietkus (Steve Miller) of Urbana and Morgan Mallory Dietkus (Jason Minard) of Aurora; and his grandchildren, Susan, Mathew, Magnolia, Vivian, Domenic, Theodore and Olive.
