Ellie left this world on December 8, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Edblad and Elsie Edblad (Hedstrom); her brothers, Roy, Melvin and Earl Edblad; her husband Stanley Clifford Haney; and her children, Bruce Haney and Noel Haney.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cheryl Weisbrodt (Michael Orsini), Kimberly Sims (Jim Evans) and Alison Abeln (Chuck); her grandchildren, Heather Sims (Kent Myers), Jacob Abeln, Kyle Weisbordt (Katey) and Danielle Sanchez (Ruben); and her great grandchildren, Paul Danley, Hannah Myers, Lilly and Braden Weisbrodt.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Owens Funeral Home (101 N Elm St, Champaign, IL 61820). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
