We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2023, at the age of 65, Ernest L. Fields of Champaign, Illinois, born in Vicksburg, Mississippi passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ernest L. Fields to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Ellis and Ida Fields Bass; his brother David; and his grandmothers, Maggie Fields and Gertrude Washington (Sharon Fields).

He is survived by : his caregiver Kim Ignasiak; his daughters, Brooke Allen (Joseph Sr), Aleysia Fields, Yvette Fields and Regina Fields; his grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Mariah, Alexander (AJ) and Jacob Allen; his siblings, Carla Fields and Armond Bass; his stepfather George Bass; and his aunts, Ruby Wilson, Edna Washington and Joyce Fields. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the COPD Foundation in Ernest's name at http://www.copdfoundation.org.
