Fred leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Fred’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Fred will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Dale Greffe and Veneta Ivemeyer Greffe; and his brother Richard Greffe. He is survived by: his wife Joyce; and his daughters, Darla Merritt (Robert) of Pesotum, Tracy McIntyre (Terry) of Bondville, Diana Brant of Danville and Kelly Tuel (Rob) of Urbana. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Owens Funeral Home (101 N Elm St, Champaign, IL 61820). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
