Buchanan, Sr. of Champaign, Mario O. Buchanan, Sr. (Iesha) of Little Rock, AR, Mondrell D. Phillips (Detra) of Madison, WI, Lewis M. Neal of Champaign, Staranna R. McNutt of Champaign and Tanisha N. Buchanan of Champaign; and his sisters, Claudia M. Melton of Champaign, IL, Pearlie M. Buchanan of Champaign, IL, Nancy A. Williams, Jr. (Pastor Nathan) of Champaign, IL, Margaret Caston of Champaign, IL and Regina Patterson of Champaign, IL. He is also survived by grandchildren, 6 precious great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the New Foundation Missionary Baptist Church (922 W Eureka St, Champaign, IL 61821). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
