It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Barry Brindley of Champaign, Illinois, born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Searcy W. Brindley and Alma Blackmon Brindley; his wife Elsie Marie Drake; his children, Douglas Alan Brindley of New Hope, PA and Susan Barrie Brindley of Memphis, TN; and his grandchildren, Graham Brindley Jessop of Los Angeles, CA, Harper Lauren Brindley and Walker Jackson Brindley of New Hope, PA..

Memorial contributions may be made to the Champaign Public Library Foundation or the First United Methodist Church of Champaign.
