He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Cobb and Grace Cobb (Stigall); and his siblings, William Cobb, Mary Katherine Oliver, Beulah Burnette, Webster Cobb, Opal Cobb and Richard Cobb.
He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Lucas; his children, James P. Cobb II (Danielle), Sheila R. Tuddy of Urbana, Cheryl L. Beavers of Urbana and Chelsie D. Payne of Urbana; and his siblings, Donald Cobb of Bedford, IN and Violet Darlene Hudson of Bedford, IN.. He is also survived by 11 Grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Renner Wikoff Chapel (1900 Philo Rd, Urbana, IL 61802). A celebration of life was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Renner-Wikoff Chapel (1900 Philo Rd, Urbana, IL 61802). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
