It is with sadness that the passing of John Dussinger of Champaign, Illinois is shared. John passed away on October 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor John by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though John is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. John’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He is survived by: his wife Astrid Hammervig Dussinger; his daughters, Karin and Camilla Dussinger; his half-brother Tom Dussinger; his grandchildren, Emily, Alexandre Warot, Celia and Camille Prochwiez; and his great grandchildren, Arthur, Clément and Louis Fleurisson.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Owens Funeral Home (101 N Elm St, Champaign, IL 61820). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 13th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
