It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lenita Epinger Smiley (Champaign, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 30, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Epinger and Herman Epinger Sr.; and her siblings, Herman Epinger Jr. and Beverly Epinger. She is survived by: her husband Tom Smiley; her stepchildren, Amy Luchinski (Dan), Mark Smiley (Jessica) and Sara Farrero; her stepgrandchildren, Hannah, Leah, Tyler, Nathan and JT; her siblings, Natasha Epinger, Karl Maurice Epinger and Phil Epinger (Diane); and her siblings' children, Karletta (Evan), Tamay, Karl Jr., Cortez, Arnitria, Latasha, Tiffany, Ebonie (Patrick), Destiny, Chelsea, Sondra, Cartrell, Kaylie and Karlisha.
