It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marilyn Hancock of Champaign, Illinois, born in Villa Grove, Illinois, who passed away on April 30, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Leonard Tay and Thelma Tay; her brother Neal Tay; and her brother-in-law George Hillard. She is survived by : her husband Bill; her daughters, Alison Heiser (Jim), Leslie Boone and Paula Hancock; her sister Barbara Hillard; her siblings-in-law, Jim Hancock and Janice Tay; her grandchildren, Emily Redfield (Grant), Natalie Boone, Lauren Boone and Michael Heiser (Alli); and her nephew Lance Tay. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the Faith United Methodist Church (1719 S Prospect Ave, Champaign, IL 61820). A reception will be held on Saturday, June 8th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), CROP, or Heifer International would be appreciated.
