He was predeceased by: his parents, Alice May and Eldon E. Davis. He is survived by: his wife Susan Meinkoth; his siblings, Ellen, Jeff, Jon and Peg; his son Alex Hegeman-Davis; his daughter-in-law Raya; and his grandchildren, Tavish and Ciaran. He is also survived by several stepchildren and step grandchildren.
He had dealt stoically with the worsening symptoms of Parkinson's Disease for several years and continued to be active, fiercely independent, and making plans for his future.
