It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Reid A. Acord of Champaign, Illinois, who passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Reid A. Acord to pay them a last tribute.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Reid may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his father Steve Acord; and his grandfather Dr. Carl J. Weissmann. He is survived by: his mother Carol Weissmann Mauck (David Mauck) of Champaign; his brothers, Drew Acord (Jodi Fox) of Saint Louis, John Acord (Mary-Courteney Green) of Greenville and Peter Acord (Kourtney Steinkamp) of Mahomet; and his stepbrother James Mauck of Champaign. He is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Faith United Methodist Church (1719 S Prospect Ave, Champaign, IL 61820). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
