He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Courson and Eva Dexter Courson; his son Michael; and his grandson Carl Puckett. He is survived by: his former wife Joanne Root; his wife Donna Huffmaster; his children, Jerry Courson (Vickie) of Robertsville, David Courson (Ann) of Lawrenceville, Vicki Voegel of Normal, Sherrill Voegel of Palatine and Paula Voegel of Mattoon; his grandchildren, Megan Pavik, Michelle Vaughan, Ron Oliver, Sam Courson, Olivia Voegel, Maia Voegel and Evan Christo; and his great grandchildren, Natalie Vaughan and Grace Withrow.
