He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur J. Highstreet and Anna F. Highstreet (O'Neil). He is survived by: his wife Mattie of Rochelle; his children, Pam Capes, Bill Highstreet, Robert Decker (Maureen), Jim Decker (Linda) and Paula Smith (Mark Stremming); his grandchildren, Crystal Vondergathen (Eric), Levi Decker (Kaitlin), Mallory McGee (Cody), Kyle Decker (Emily), Carly McGee (Ryan), Alicia McMann, Amanda Lukas (Nate), Jacob Helfrick (Ericka), Erin Decker (Dustin) and Molly Smith; and his great grandchildren, Aaron, Bailey, Riley, Braley, Delani, Maddox, Sampson, Brixton, Daxxon, Cullen, Henry, Quinn, Murphy, Sienna, Elena, Dahlia, Jordy and Ella.
Memorials may be made in John's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
