She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Roy and Elsie Newman (Leinberger); her husband Richard D. Ruppel; and her siblings, Ellen Jurgens, Virgil Newman, Roberta Ruppel and Arthur Newman.
She is survived by: her children, Edwin Ruppel (Amy) of Tallula, Nancy Ortman (Randy) of Athens, Phillip Ruppel (Tricia) of Chandlerville and Donna McNeal (Cameron) of Chandlerville; and her grandchildren, Adrian Bye (JR), R. J. Ruppel (Katie), Lee Ruppel (Emily), Kelli Turner (Alex), Michael McNeal (Cheyene), Abigail Ortman (Zac) and Morgan McNeal (Joey). She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Idella's name may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
