He was predeceased by: his parents, Clementine Clara (Felix) and John M. Cherven; and his wife Marilyn J. Patten. He is survived by: his siblings, John, Leona and Helen; his daughter Susan Underwood (John); and his friend Jeanne Angus of Suwanee.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431).
