He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Smith and Ann Smith; his daughter Debra Barfell; his wife Dolores Cheshareck; and his siblings, Dorothy Cook, Robert (late Margaret), Leo (late Carol) and Donald.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael (Beth) of Morris, Raymond (Cynthia) of Channahon and Richard (Phyllis) of Channahon; his grandchildren, Vern Smith (Kelley), Taylor Rodriguez (Joshua), Kathleen Butler, Jacqueline Bembenek (Dane), Kyle Smith, Kenneth Smith (Teresa) and Aidan Smith; and his brother-in-law Bill Cook (Diane Titone) of Florida. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews.
A reception will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (303 W St Mary's St, Minooka, IL 60447).
