He is survived by: his children, Sue Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, Charles (Emilie Vandeveer), Welty (Ron Duck) of Cheyenne, WY, Molly Vandeveer (Georgia Vandeveer), Clarence, Robin Vandeveer of Austin, TX, Jessica Vandeveer of Champaign, IL, James (Ike), Shelley Vandeveer (John) of Lincoln, CA and Randi Vandeveer of Arcola, IL; and his siblings, Joyce Finn (Jim) of Arcola, IL, George Vandeveer (Ursula) of San Antonio, TX, Dorothy Adams of Mattoon, IL, Martha Carwile of Tuscola, IL, John Vandeveer (Melba) of Kempner, TX, Tom Vandeveer of Bella Vista, AR and Cheryl Mills of Tuscola, IL. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Shrader Funeral Home (204 N Locust St, Arcola, IL 61910). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 at the Arcola Cemetery (950 IL-133, Arcola, IL 61910).
