As Diane departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Diane. Though Diane may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Dare and Virginia Swango Dare; and her brother-in-law Tom Jones. She is survived by: her son Chris Bales (Jenni) of Hindsboro; her siblings, Gloria Jones of Charleston, Debra Dick (John) of Charleston and Daniel Dare (Beverly) of Mt. Vernon; and her stepchildren, Mikey Stirrett (Megan) of Atwood and Jamie Monts (Andy) of Arthur. She is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the East Harrison Street Church of God (17996 E Harrison St, Charleston, IL 61920).
