She was predeceased by : her parents, James Leo and Elene Joy Hughes II (Puscas); her siblings, Richard Hughes and Rita DeRue; and her siblings-in-law, Bob Rowland and Karen Hughes.

She is survived by : her children, Mechelle Hess (Joe) of Charleston, Illinois and Ray Cobert (Jessica) of Charleston, Illinois; her grandchildren, Julia Hess, Ben Hess, James Hess and Claire Cobert; her siblings, Connie Rowland, James Hughes II (Kaye), Michael Hughes (Debbie), Patricia Young, Christine Moore (Tim), Kevin Hughes, Nora Naab (John), Mary West, Kathleen McGinnis (Johnny), Frank Hughes, Zachary Hughes (Cindy) and Kelley Eitenmiller (Ken); and her sister-in-law Cindy Hughes.
