He is survived by : his wife Carol Sue Cler; his children, Christopher Carter of Villa Grove, IL, Melissa Kuhajda (Binky) of Ooltewah, TN, James M. Carter (Vicki) of Camargo, IL, Julie Carter of Salem, IL, Diann Crossman (Charles) of Savoy, IL and Audrey Gullion (Aaron) of Charleston, IL; his siblings, John Carter (Rita) of Barnhart, MO and Violet Jean Clarke of Nashville, TN; and his sister-in-law Michelle Carter of Tucson, AZ. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
