He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin C. Ebinger and Amelia Ebinger (Heid); his wife Marlene V. Spreen; his son Scott John Ebinger; and his siblings, Ellen Herren and Elbert Ebinger.
He is survived by: his children, Wendy Beth Satchwell (Gary) of Bloomington, Warren Walter Ebinger (Cynthia) of Youngsville and Kari Sue Ebinger of Charleston; his daughter-in-law Joan Ebinger of Charleston; his grandchildren, Jennifer Sprague (Matt), Nicole Smith (Terrence), Melissa Satchwell, Mara Howard (Robert), Olivia Miller (Jordan), Claire Graine (Allison), Caitlin Kaminski (Thomas), Patrick Ebinger, John "Jack" Ebinger and Matthew Ebinger; and his great grandchildren, Adeline Sprague, Kingston Smith, Bennett Miller, Robert "Bobby" Howard, Zander Howard, Riley Graine, George Miller, Walter Miller and Wesley "Kip" Miller.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Chapel (2330 Shawnee Dr, Charleston, IL 61920). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Eastern Illinois University Foundation in support of the Botany Club, 600 Lincoln Avenue, Charleston, Illinois 61920.
