He was predeceased by: his parents, John Leaborn and Martha Lucille Watson (Lovell); and his wife Linda Kay Hendrix. He is survived by: his children, Tami (Terry Lemons) of Charleston, Pam Watson-Taylor (Tammi Taylor) of Charleston, John (Kristen Watson) of Mattoon and Cindy (Thomas Amstutz) of Charleston; his grandchildren, Jenna (Keith Lemons), TJ Lemons, Matt (Heather Lemons), Thomas (Stephanie Lemons), Jessica (Cameron Wright), Katherine (Benji Long), Kelsee (Jose Lira), Luke (Tori Watson), Emily (Jeremy Mooday), Jacob Watson, Kristan Amstutz and Brandon (Sierra Amstutz); his brother Robert Eugene Watson of Charleston; and his pet Laddy. He is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Et Adams Funeral Chapel (2330 Shawnee Dr, Charleston, IL 61920). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
