She was predeceased by : her parents, Dr. Preston Carrico and Lula Ann Carrico (Senter); and her husband Dr. Ed Gaskill. She is survived by : her nephew Darrell Snoddy (Joyce); her niece Katie Kiser (Roger); her extended family, Sue Armstrong (family: Mildred Collins, Lisa, Brad Booker), Candace Walworth and Carl Walworth (family: Trudy, Jon, Anthony Gross); and her family, Chad, Amanda Snoddy and Brien.

She participated in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center Guild, EIU Foundation, Tarble Arts Center, and was an EIU Symphony Sponsor.
