Nancy Elisabeth Curran Obituary
It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Nancy Elisabeth Curran of Charleston, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 94, on January 6, 2026. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Nancy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Riedel and Anne Riedel (Uldrian). She is survived by: her sons, David (Julie) of Charleston and Thomas (Jane) of Hibbing; her grandchildren, Jennifer Cole (Cody) and Andrew Curran; and her great grandchildren, Damia, Dominick and Zachary Cole.
On retiring she served as a volunteer at the Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation, Inc. for many years as well as preparing federal and state income taxes in the VITA program. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Chapel of Saint John of the Divine, 1011 S. Wright St., Champaign, IL 61820.
