She was predeceased by : her parents, William Oscar and Nellie B. Miller (Sterling); her spouse Glenn C. Thomas Jr.; her daughter Shirley Abitz (Wayne); her grandson Lloyd Abitz; and her sisters, Joy Cox, Alma Watson, Violet East and Faye Miller.

She is survived by : her sons, Bill Thomas (Kathy) of Charleston, IL and Bob Thomas (Lora) of Sarasota, FL; and her close friends, Helen Sylvester of Arcola, IL, Barb and Bill Weichel of Charleston, IL.. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Edwards Funeral Home (221 E Main St, Arcola, IL 61910). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
