He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Walter and Frona Dale Leathers (Stolz). He is survived by: his children, Ronda Sue and Lee Edward; his children-in-law, John Dively and Jackie Leathers (Snyder); his grandsons, Luke Leathers (Regen) and Ben Leathers (Alexandra); and his siblings-in-law, Betty and Cal Campbell. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Wesley United Methodist Church (2206 4th St, Charleston, IL 61920).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Eastern's College of Education, Wesley United Methodist Church, or the Coles County Barbershop Chorus.
