Astrid Goodin Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Astrid Goodin of Chatham, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Astrid left this world on June 23, 2025 at the age of 77, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Irmagard Kummert and Joseph Kummert; her husband George Goodin; and her sister Doris Benn. She is survived by: her children, Phillip Capps (Gail) of Springfield, Michael Capps (Nicole) of Easley, SC and Kirsten Capps of Chatham; her grandchildren, Madison, Ainsley, Allison, Joseph and Grant Capps; and her siblings, Werner, Arming, Roland Kummert, Hannehlore Demel and Marget. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Butler Funeral Home- Chatham (8855 State Rte 4, Chatham, IL 62629). A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
