He was predeceased by: his parents, William D. and Mary V. Moore (McAdams); and his siblings, David Moore and Penelope Swigert. He is survived by: his close friend Anne Shea; his siblings, Peggy Moore, Denise Rau (Dave) of Waukesha, WI, Barb Pollic (Rick) of Dawson, IL, Michelle Moore (Mark Smith) of Menomonee Falls, WI, Kevin Moore of Decatur, AL, Joe Moore (Nancy) of Chatham, IL and Andrew Moore of Lexington, KY; and his sister-in-law Jenny Moore. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Inclusive Catholic Community (2939 Stanton St, Springfield, IL 62703).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association.
