It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles R. Cleaver of Chatham, Illinois, born in Mechanicsburg, Illinois, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Franklin Cleaver and Goldie N. Cline Cleaver; his wife Dollie Starks; his sons, Gregory L. and Lance K. Cleaver; his grandchildren, Nicholas Fenski and Candace Cleaver; and his siblings, James W., John F., Jesse R. Cleaver, Lucille Harney, Rose Longen, Eileen Hubbs, Janet Smith and Barb Jarvis.
He is survived by: his children, Cameron Cleaver of Havana and Dara L. Clement (Rob) of Mt. Auburn. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
