He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Kauerauf and Clella Kauerauf of Edinburg, Illinois.; and his sisters, Betty, Helen and Marian.
He is survived by: his children, John, Pam Kauerauf of Springfield, Don and Judy Kauerauf of Chatham; his grandchildren, Andrew, Abigail, Emily, Matthew, Ally, Luke and Samuel; and his grandchildren-in-law, Evan Ackerson, Emily and Elizabeth. He is also survived by father and father-in-law of his two sons.
In lieu of flowers Don's family asks that you remember him by making gifts to First United Methodist Church Springfield, the Midwest Mission Distribution Center, the Ball-Chatham Educational Foundation or the Animal Protective League.
