With solemn reverence, we commemorate Donna Jean Gard of Chatham, Illinois, whose life came to an end on December 13, 2025 at the age of 69, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Donna may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Donna touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernard C. Lane and Marilyn Lane (Elliott) of Springfield; her son Eric Miller of Chicago; her brother Doug Lane of North Canton, Ohio; and her uncle Darrell Elliott of Springfield. She was also cherished by several cousins and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, Donna has asked that any donations be made to the Central Illinois Food Repository.
