She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Russell and Rosie Squires Russell; her husband Gerald "Cotton" Castleman; and her daughter-in-law Patty Castleman. She is survived by: her sons, Charles Dean Castleman (Regina Ayers) of Jefferson City, MO and Terry Castleman (Laurel) of Chatham; her grandchildren, Cindy Whaley (Jay), Tricia Higgins (Wes) and Chad Castleman (Amber); and her great grandchildren, Katherine, James Whaley, Taylor Yoakum (Ian), Morgan, Riley Higgins, Cohen and Camden Castleman.
