He was predeceased by: his mother Norma Jean Milligan Murphy; his granddaughter Caitlin Mae Murphy; his siblings, Rona Vestal, Bobby, David and Paul Murphy; and his stepbrother Larry Downing.
He is survived by: his sons, James Murphy (Sandra) of El Portillo, Joseph Murphy (Michelle) of Sahuarita, AZ and Justin Murphy (Rachel) of Mishawaka, IN; his grandchildren, Kayla Anders (Shawn), Dalton Murphy Alannah (Katie), Dillon Murphy, Hannah Murphy, Reagan Murphy, Jake Murphy, Tyler Murphy, Hunter Murphy, Bryan Murphy, Avery Ingram (Samuel) and Ryon Hortberg; his great grandchildren, Selena, Caitlin, Reilly Anders and Henry Murphy; and his siblings, Mary Grospitch (Steve) of Louisburg, KS, Betty Bayliff (Steve) of Springfield, MO and Jack Murphy of Conway, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
