It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Howard Eugene Gaddis of Chatham, Illinois, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Norville R. Gaddis and Margurite L. Gaddis (Courtney); his wife Marjorie E. Judy (Baker); his daughter Sandra Kay Gaddis; his brothers, Tom, Jim and Butch; and his brothers-in-law, Russell Anderson and Alvin Wilson.
He is survived by: his children, David Gaddis (Penny) of Hoopeston, IL, Vickie Gaddis of Hoopeston, IL, Tammy Hall (Keith) of Springfield, IL, Rita South of Springfield, IL and Jim Judy (Kim) of Ashley, IL; his sister Lulabell Anderson of Boswell, IN; his stepsister Leona Wilson; his sisters-in-law, Joy Gaddis and Barb Gaddis; his brother Rodney Gaddis (Gina) of Monticello, IN; and his stepbrother Raymond Galyen (Cathy). He is also survived by five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Anderson Funeral Home (427 E Main St, Hoopeston, IL 60942). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Howard to the Chestnut Street Church of Christ or the Hoopeston American Legion Color Guard.
