It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanna Kay Bucci of Chatham, Illinois, who passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Raymond Patton and Lillian Norma Patton (Picco). She is survived by: her husband Donald A. Bucci; her children, Marc A. Bucci (Kelly) of Dawson, Christopher D. Bucci of Springfield, James M. Bucci (Nicole) of Longmont, CO and Donna K. Bucci of Chatham; her grandchildren, Anthony R. Bucci (Kristelle), Megan M. Courtwright (Brian), Vicenza A. Bucci and Ethan P. Cole; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Riley and Ella Courtwright; and her brother J. Michael Patton (Pamela) of Springfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church (700 E Spruce St, Chatham, IL 62629). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, November 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

“Dear Family, I have known Joanna for several years, we played cards and listened to her stories of kids and what they will do. Our card group was Gail Cardoni, Shirley Springer, Carolyn Schoppe, Bev, and a few names I can’t come up with now. Have missed seeing Joanna the past several years. Elaine Bilbruck.”
