It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Paul Dawson of Chatham, Illinois, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Dawson and Betty Dawson (Baggs); and his siblings, Anne and Mike. He is survived by: his children, Brea Simmons (Matt) of Chatham, Emily Dawson-Gross (Mikeal) of Lincoln and Daniel Dawson of Springfield; his grandchildren, Mya, Matthew Simmons, Skylar, Lillian Dawson, Eleanor and Benjamin Gross; and his brothers, Phil Dawson, Steve Dawson (Linda) and Jim Dawson (Pam). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
