Margie Alice Deffenbaugh Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margie Alice Deffenbaugh of Chatham, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 14, 2025 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Margie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Margie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Reed and Virginia Reed (Sloan); and her son Christopher Deffenbaugh. She is survived by: her children, Jude Jones (Steve) of O'Fallon, MO, Robert Deffenbaugh (Meloney) of Chatham and Rebecca Hunt of Springfield, IL. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
