She was predeceased by: her parents, Artie Holmes and Tressie Holmes (O'Neal); her husband Gary Smith; her son Thomas M. Smith; and her siblings, Norman, Glenn, Delbert Holmes and Barbara Rose.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice E. Reuter (Richard) of Tucson, AZ; and her sister Shirley R. Shreves of Chatham. She is also survived by six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
