He was predeceased by: his father Robert C. Gaither. He is survived by: his children, Michael Gaither (Lauren) of Naperville, Cindy Gaither-Woods (Robynn) of Ottawa and Kristine Valenti (Zach) of Rochester; his grandchildren, Meghan Gaither, Courtney Gaither, Addison Gaither, Corynn Fisher-Woods and Emelia Valenti; his mother Fay Gaither (Weber) of Taylorville; his sisters, Anne Simpson (Bill) of Taylorville and Mary S. Blakeman of Taylorville; his nephew John Blakeman (Elizabeth) of Chatham; and his former wife Janice E. Gaither of Chatham.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services (302 W Poplar St, Taylorville, IL 62568). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
