He was predeceased by: his father Byron L. Provines; his stepfather Dante Marconi; his mother Idell Marconi; and his siblings, Bill, John Provines, Marge Devey and Carol Neal.
He is survived by: his children, Kip of Chatham, IL and Kara Telger (David) of New Smyrna Beach, FL; and his nieces and nephews, Kenny Kessinger, Paul Lore, Dante Wynne, Christopher Provines, Scott Provines, Ryan Devey, Tony Devey, Christopher Reedy, Charles Patrick Jones, Stephanie Reedy, Mercy Rabern Jones, Sonia Granger, Rhonda Belous, Heidi Provines and Denice Hubbs.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703).
