She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Vaughan and Helen Vaughan (Loveless); her husband Leland Herman Bates; and her sister Betty Lupher. She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Anders (Glenn) of Riverton, Amy Bates of Chatham and Julie Bates of Springfield.
