He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard Koester and Alice Nell Kribbs; his brother Kenny Skinner; his stepfather Larry Skinner; his stepbrother Chuck Tuggle; and his stepmother Roberta.
He is survived by: his spouse Kelly Ann Rourke; his children, Ryan Littrell (Penny Tehrani) of New York, NY., David Littrell (Sarah) of Chatham, Jared Koester (Angie) of Chatham, Brittany Bisch (Phillip) of Chatham, Abbey Maloney (Michael) of Denver, CO. and Sean Garcia (Merissa Billhartz) of St. Louis, MO.; his grandchildren, Reagan, Colin Littrell, Jake, Jimmy, Addi Jo Koester, Alice Ann Bisch, Finn and Isla Maloney; his siblings, Jacqueline Koester, L. B. Skinner (Sara), Jamie Milcik (Chris), Jason Koester, Jenny Dial (Greg), Steve Skinner (Karla), Lisa Martin (Garry), Lori and Steve Tuggle; and his stepmother Brenda Koester. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family is deeply grateful to the Team Gleason Foundation for their hope, generosity, and the steadfast support they provided the family with the tools and resources necessary for Teddy to live a meaningful life with ALS.
