He was predeceased by: his mother Carolyn Carter, Jr. (Weld); his brothers, Robert Carter and Carl Carter III; and his great-grandparent Carl Carter, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda J. Swanson; his son Bill Carter, Jr. (Jennifer) of Chatham; his grandchildren, Symone Carter, Stephanie Carter, Faith Carter (Shamari Fields), Sarah Carter and Calvin Carter; his great grandchild Shaelani Fields-Carter; his son Dave Carter (Kylie) of Petersburg, IL; and his grandchildren, Annabelle Carter, Zoey Carter, Oliver Carter and Penelope Carter. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
