It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jennie G. Stalter (Chenoa, Illinois), born in Minonk, Illinois, who passed away on December 26, 2019, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Herbert Blackmer and Mary Blackmer (Tomaszewski); her husband Harvey C. Stalter; her children, Nancy Murphy (Larry) of Chenoa, Donna Smith (Michael) of Houston, TX, Dan Stalter (Marlene) of Temple Terrace, FL, Daryl Stalter (Sarah) of Heyworth, Merle Stalter (Toni) of Chenoa and Steve Stalter (Cindy) of Lexington; and her sister-in-law Bernice Bachman of Goshen, IN. She was also cherished by thirteen grandchildren, thirty one great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Prairieview Mennonite Church, rural Gridley.

“My memories of aunt jennie : she was always there for the stalter family. She helped teach her family to work hard... Strong-minded.. Always kind to us on visits to the house and very patient with us during our playtime upstairs and around the barnyard ! Importantly, a great example of a good steward of her faith and communed regularly at church and for worship . God provided inspired & blessed her ...
