He was predeceased by: his parents, Hermie Brechler and Marilyn Brechler; his son Jeffrey P. Brechler; and his brothers, Tim and Jerry.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Brechler; his daughter Pamela Bertrand (Jerry); his grandchildren, Dustin Wilson (Maggie), Melissa Joniaux (Ben), Rachel Brechler (Josh Hancock) and Sarah Lemens (Jared); his great grandchildren, Lucy, Ronnie Joniaux and Avery Wilson; his siblings, Merry Cooley and Tom Brechler (Diane); and his sister-in-law Mary Campbell (Allen). He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.
