He is survived by: his children, Van Hammel (Daisy) of Chester, Illinois, Kathy Saldana (Dennis) of O'Fallon, Illinois, Julie Weber (Scott) of Freeburg, Illinois and Jodie Parrish (Doug) of Belleville, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Brittany Gerber (Trevor), Lindsay Parker (Brendan), Jesse Saldana, Evan Saldana, Isabella Saldana, Sophia Saldana, Jayce Conway (Angie), Camden Weber (Grace), Corinne Weber (Jonathan), Victoria Chandler (Chase), Olivia Main (Esteban) and Vanessa Main; and his great grandchildren, Vance, James Gerber, Wesley Conway, Nolan, Oliver Parker, Jordan Konja, Marsha Weber, Rose Weber, Scott Chandler, Brielle Estrella and Labrador.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church (312 S Fifth St, Baldwin, IL 62217). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
