She was predeceased by: her son Edward James Kempfer of Chester; and her sisters, Betty Dickerson and Bernice Light. She is survived by: her parents, Norman, Sr. Light and Virginia Dickerson Light of Chester; her child Janielle F. Kempfer of Chester; her son-in-law Daniel Cathcart, Jr. of Tilden, IL; her grandchildren, Rystain Kempfer, Kinleigh Kempfer and Aniyah Kempfer; and her siblings, Norman Light, Jr. of Chester and Barbara Dickerson of Chester.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wilson's Funeral Home (509 W Illinois St, Steeleville, IL 62288). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
