He was predeceased by: his parents, William Benefiel and Wilma Benefiel; his wife Vivian L. Houk; his children, William B. Benefiel III and Kelly Michelle Benefiel; and his sister Marsha K. Benefiel.
He is survived by: his children, Dawn Houk, Michael (Angela), Brandy Lynn, Carrie Ann, Bryan, Dustin (Christina) and Cory Houk Chester. He is also survived by 19 Grandchildren 23 Great Grandchildren Many "Adopted" Children and Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pechacek Funeral Homes - Chester (839 Lehmen Dr, Chester, IL 62233). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
