She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Poerio and Edith Poerio of Steger, Illinois.; her brother John; and her sister-in-law Kathleen (Poerio). She is survived by: her husband Rosario Arestia (Sonny); and her children, James Kogler Jr. (Donna), Cindy Eggers (Dennis), Cheryl Sharpe (late Brian) and Julie Lord (Anthony). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Kieran Parish (724 195th St, Chicago Heights, IL 60411). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carmella's honor to: Sacred Heart Southern Missions, Walls, MS or Shrine of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Retreat Center, Osyka, MS.
